What is the Carbon Cube?
The Carbon Cube is an afforestation cube based on biochar obtained through pyrolysis, with selected tree seeds inside. Once in the ground, its biochar locks carbon into the soil for the long term, and the seed can grow into a new sapling. Municipalities, schools, companies and individuals can use it in individual or corporate afforestation projects.
Carbon to the soil, life to nature.
Developed by VELDO Makine AR-GE A.Ş., the Carbon Cube was designed for two purposes at once: capturing carbon and returning trees to nature. Once placed in the soil, it brings not only a tree seed to nature but also stable carbon that can remain in the soil for thousands of years.
Carbon capture
The biochar inside ensures long-term carbon sequestration, locking carbon into the soil.
A new sapling
Under suitable temperature and moisture, the seed inside germinates and a new sapling can grow.
Over 90% afforestation success
Thanks to its nutrient-rich microenvironment, highly water-retentive biochar and protective outer form, it achieves over 90% germination and tree formation compared with conventional seeding; it ensures sustainability in individual and corporate afforestation projects.
Choose your seed
Individual or corporate users can choose the tree species inside the cube, for native plant species, meaningful trees or personal memories.
Oxygen, erosion control, habitat
Over time it becomes a tree that produces oxygen, prevents erosion and provides habitat.
Environmental and social impact
Municipalities, schools, companies or individuals can create both environmental and social impact: leaving a legacy with your children, reducing a company's carbon footprint or supporting a local campaign.
Biochar, seed and natural binders in one cube.
The Carbon Cube is not just a sapling but also a climate solution. Each cube contains about 50–100 grams of stable carbon, which remains in the soil for thousands of years without breaking down and so reduces carbon emissions over the long term. This product contains biochar whose carbon sequestration effect has been proven according to international standards; carbon credits are separate from the physical product.

Inside every Carbon Cube
| Component | Role |
|---|---|
| Biochar | A highly porous carbon material that improves the soil and retains water and nutrients. |
| Seed | Fast-rooting tree species suited to the season, the region and the local ecosystem (for example red pine, stone pine, acacia, oak). |
| Organic binders and microbial stimulants | Fully natural additives that support germination. |
Place it in the soil and let the cube do the rest.

- 01
Choose the seed
The cube comes with a tree species suited to the season and region; if you wish, choose the species yourself.
- 02
Place it in the soil
Place the Carbon Cube in the soil at the site to be afforested.
- 03
Let it germinate
Under suitable temperature and moisture the seed germinates; the biochar retains water and helps the sapling take hold.
